Program Manager

Rachel Etherington is a Program Manager from the San Francisco Bay Area, with a profound passion for sustainable community practices in the energy and utility sector. Currently pursuing her MBA with a focus on Business Analytics at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, Rachel is a motivated to identify best practices to best reach disadvantaged communities in the clean energy sector.

Her journey has been defined by a commitment to equitable access to clean energy solutions and the empowerment of underserved communities. With a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as studies in Italian Culture and Language at Florence University of the Arts, Rachel combines her education with real-world experience to lead impactful change. As a Program Manager at The Ortiz Group, Concord CA, she spearheads program design and development for energy transition and decarbonization initiatives in underserved communities.  

Through her role as the San Joaquin Valley Disadvantaged Communities (SJV DAC) Pilot Manager, she's been dedicated to championing clean energy solutions that prioritize inclusivity and accessibility. Rachel's dynamic background also Data and Privacy Compliance, community outreach and intergovernmental relations, and public marketing to large service areas in the clean energy and wastewater utility sector.
